Consignment Agreement
Last updated: Thursday 11th June 2026
This explains how it works when you ask us to sell your items for you — we call this "consignment". By handing us items to sell, you're agreeing to this. Here, "we" means Furry Pink Monkey (Lee Webber), and "you" means the person whose items we're selling.
What we do
You give us your items, and we photograph them, write them up, list them, sell them, take the payment, deal with the customer and post everything out. Basically, we do all the selling work so you don't have to.
The price
We set the selling price using our experience of the market, talking it through with you where it makes sense. To give things the best chance of selling, we might tweak the price over time.
What we keep, and what you get
When an item sells, we first take off the selling and payment fees and the postage. From whatever's left, we keep 60% and you get 40%.
Here's an example. Say something sells for £100. eBay takes roughly 15% (plus 30p) in fees. Which leaves approximately £84.70. We keep 60% (£50.82) and you get 40% (£33.80). (Just an example to show how it works.)
Paying you
We'll pay your share 30 days after the item has been received by the buyer, by bank transfer to the account you give us.
If something doesn't sell
If an item hasn't sold within 30 days, we'll have a chat about dropping the price or sending it back to you. If it's coming back, we'll agree who covers the postage first.
What we need from you
By giving us items to sell, you're confirming that they're yours to sell (or you're allowed to sell them), they're genuine and legal, they're not fake or stolen, and you've described them to us honestly. If any of that turns out not to be true and it ends up costing us, we'd ask you to cover that.
Looking after your items
We'll take good care of your items while they're with us. That said, other than where it's our fault, we can't be responsible for loss or damage that's outside our control.
Items we might say no to
We may decide not to take an item — for example if we don't think we can sell it, or it's just not the sort of thing we handle.
Ending things
Either of us can stop the arrangement by giving the other fair notice. Anything already listed or sold at that point is still covered by these terms.
Responsibility and which law applies
We won't try to dodge anything the law won't let us. Beyond that, what we owe you is limited to your share of whatever your items sell for. This follows the law of England and Wales.
